Paris Bennett，年僅17的參賽者，早在Greensborough的試唱會以Dixie Chicks的Cowboy Take Me Away與爵士老歌Take Five成功贏得前往好萊塢進行複賽。而後再度以Can’t Fight the Moonlight與Fever進入前24強。第一次攝影棚錄影，俏皮地裝扮成琇琴高歌Midnight Train to Georgia、然後再以Wind Beneath My Wings、Conga進入top 12。然後一路過關斬將：All I Do、Fever、Work It Out、How Do I Live、The Show Must Go On、These Foolish Things、The Way We Were。然後是本週top 5，Paris唱了Prince的Kiss與Mary J Blige的Be Without You。



我看著她表演，總是想起Simon Cowell對其他參賽者說的：The Young Talents Just Make You Average。Simon很惡毒，但總是正確；他說的Young Talents指的是Paris Bennett與Lisa Tucker。Lisa Tucker很快因為聲音不夠撐起大舞台與選歌錯誤而遭淘汰，但Paris都留下來了，留給了Stevie Wonder、Barry Manilow、Queen、David Foster等人驚喜的評語。她音域不是極廣，雖然遠不如她的福音歌手祖母Ann Nesby驚人，但我喜歡她渾厚的聲音，不屬於她的年紀，也不屬於這個年代。因此她吃虧，也更令人因為她的離開而不捨。



她的歌迷在部落格上寫著：I Love Paris in the Springtime。的確，雖然Paris Bennett未能在本季奪冠，將機會拱手讓給了Katharine McPhee與Chris Daughtry。但她離開前唱著Mary J Blige，唱著

也許Paris不需要這個比賽才能成就她的歌唱事業，但她證明了一個年輕的天才型歌手不是完全不需要努力的。她的才華令人感嘆而驚喜，但別忘了她背後所下的苦功。但Paris Bennett，你唱著These Foolish Things的時候，是的我多麼喜愛oh how the ghost of you clings。我聽著網路上下載來的擷取的你的歌唱片段，yes, these foolish things remind me of you。
