Jennifer Holliday – And I'm Telling You (That I'm Not Going)

Destiny's Child的團長Beyoncé與American Idol 3的大遺珠Jennifer Hudson，以及Jennifer Holliday傳奇出演的角色，就促成了即將在今年年底聖誕節前後上映的Dreamgirls，這部由80年代熱門百老匯音樂劇改拍而成的電影，實在很令人期待。



但我首次聽到這歌其實是American Idol 1我最喜歡的Tamyra Gray在首次進攝影棚時便演唱這首歌，在鋼琴的伴奏下，令三位評審與我驚為天人。可惜Tamyra最後在第四名慘遭淘汰，從此唱片生涯也相當不順，最後落得賣得比孔慶祥（William Hung）更糟的局面。但最近Tamyra幫美國平價衣服商店H&M拍攝一支廣告，在Mary J Blige的加持之下（she sings "When I First Saw You"），Tamyra演出現代版的Romeo & Juliet，在男主角遭槍擊死亡後，動人唱出這首當初讓她一舉成名的And I'm Telling You。我只是希望Tamyra可以與這首歌的精神一樣，展現女生任性賴皮的一面，繼續在這業界努力，趕快推出第二張專輯，並選擇讓她的聲音不會這麼壓力過大的歌。
